Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon 1 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA." 
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Company Advertising with "Hamilton" in Much Larger Letters than Usual.  Was Jones misbehaving??? Stands 9 3/4" tall. 
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
