Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this 1 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA."
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Company Advertising Surrounded by Roses on the Sides and Dotted Flower Blossoms on the Bottom.  Stands 9 1/2" tall. 
 
Good Condition. A 1/4" chip under the rim in the back, and a T-shaped hairline near the base whose tail wraps under 2".  No inner rim or base chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
