Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Decorated Stoneware Jar.
The flower with the circle between the stem and petals makes a probable attribution to Mauldine Perine of Baltimore, Maryland. Perine and sons worked in stoneware from approximately 1827 to after 1900 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 98).
Circa 1850, this beauty features a Tooled Squared Rim and a Brushed Cobalt Flower and Two Comma Vines around the Shoulder. Stands 8 1/2" tall.
Very Good Condition. Some water glass staining from use. No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
