    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Uncommon Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania (probably Greensboro or New Geneva). 

     

    Circa 1880, this beauty features the Tooled Rim with Groove for the Sealing Wax, a Top Stripe Accenting the Rim, and a Rose Bud Flanked by Leaves.   Complete and crisp stencil.  Stands 8 1/4" tall.

     

    This decoration is uncommon. 

     

    Excellent Condition. Five small chips inside the inner rim (1/8" to 1/4"). and a 1/4" chip below the blue stripe on the front.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
