Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania.
 
Circa 1870, this beauty features the Tooled Grooved Rim for Pouring Wax in as a Sealer with a Tin Cap and Four Wide Brushed Cobalt Stripes. The cobalt it dark, rich, and forms a strong contrast with the lighter gray glaze.  Stands 8" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Minor nibbles inside the rim and thres chips on the base/underside (1/4" to 1/2").  No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
