Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this superb 1 Gallon Stoneware Jar with 3 Stripes.

 

The color and decoration indicate that it was made in Palatine, West Virginia about 1880 (modern Fairmont).

 

This beauty features a Large Gallon Size, Finely Tooled Rim and Shoulder, and Three Brushed Cobalt Wavy Stripes Down the Front that Wrap Halfway Around the Jar.  Strong contrast between the light gray glaze and the dark cobalt stripes just like we all like it!  Stands 10 1/4" tall.

 

Exceptional Condition. As made.  No damage of any kind.  Mottled glaze in the making.
