Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jar from Baltimore, Maryland.
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Tooled Grooved Rim for Ease of Tying a Cloth Cover Over the Top, and Five Cobalt Comma Vines Draping Down from the Shoulder. The cobalt is very dark and bright like we like it. Stands 10" tall.
Very Good Condition. Two small, adjacent chips on the outside of the rim (1/8", 3/8"), some spots of glaze wear, and a small and faint crow's foot on the bottom. No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Slight oval in the making.
