Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Jar from Baltimore, Maryland.
 
Circa 1865, this beauty has an Unusual Tall and Slender Form, Tooled Top Designed with a Protruding Rim for Ease of Tying a Cover Over the Top, and a Brushed Cobalt Garland of 5 Sideways Tulips.  The blue is extraordinary!  Stands 11 3/4" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  Two 1/2" chips on the rim, a 1 3/4" hairline from the rim (closeup 1), and a 1/4" flake and 2" surface ping line on the base (closeup 2).  No inner rim or base chips, stains, or restoration.
