Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jar from Baltimore, Maryland.
 
Dating around 1860, this beauty is features a Carefully Tooled Rim with Slightly Sloping Shoulder, and a Garland of Brushed Cobalt Sideways Tulips around the Middle.   Light gray clay and dark cobalt decoration for maximum contrast. Stands 10 1/4" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  Three small chips on the rim (1/8" to 1/4"), and a glaze rub on the neck of one tulip.   No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.   Slightly out of round in the making.
