Item 11455

Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Decorated 2 Gallon Jar made in Baltimore Maryland.

Dating around 1850, this beauty features a Finely Tooled Rim with a Groove for Ease of Tying a Cover Over the Top and Three Tulips Dangling from Leaves around the Shoulder.  It took over 55 brushstrokes of cobalt to make the decoration.  The cobalt is dark and shiny like we like it!  Stands 12" tall.

Excellent Condition.  A half-dozen small chips on the base/underside (1/8' to 3/8") and some scatterred light staining from use.  That's it!  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. Two flat chips on top of the rim are in the making from separation from kiln furniture in the making.
