Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Ovoid Jug made in Northeast Ohio.
Circa 1850, this beauty features an Early Ovoid Shape, Medium Gray Salt Glaze, and a Large Freehand Tulip. The tulip has 3 lines simulating ground cover, a stem with 9 leaves, and a blossom with 5 petals. Great early shape, larger size, and bigger decoration than usual. Stands 15 1/2" tall.
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kind. Amazing since this jug is nearly 170 years old!
