Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Stoneware Butter Crock in the Open Rose Pattern.
 
This beauty features a Waffle Background with Six Open Roses Around the Middle. The lid repeats the waffle background.  Diffused blue coloration.  Measures 3 3/4" tall and 6" wide across the top.
 
As you know, not a common pattern.  See Terry Taylor and Terry and Kay Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, pp. 119-120. 
 
Very Good Condition.  The base has a 1/2" chip on the outside of the rim (closeup).  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  The lid has some small flakes on the underside at the edge (1/4" or less) and some adjacent chips on the outer edge in one place (closeup).  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A 1" drying line on the seating ring on the underside in the making.
