Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this truly beautiful Blue and White Sponeware Hanging Salt Crock. 
 
Made around 1900, this beauty features sponging around the hanger, and the top and bottom of the Holder. "Salt" is stenciled front and center.  The cobalt is strong and patterned too-- just like we like it! Stands 4" tall and 5 3/4" wide. Once had a wooden lid.
 
Very Good Condition. Some glaze loss inside at the bottom toward the back from use with salt, and a 1/2" chip on the bottom of the footer in the back.  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Two 1 1/4" surface drying lines inside in the making (closeup).
