Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon Blue and White Mug in the Columns and Arches Pattern.
 
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features Columns with Ionic Capitals Bearing Up Brick Arches.  A dotted handle with mortice and tenon detail, and a raised rim with diagonal lattice complete the decoration. The coloring is diffused blue with the top and bottom border more blue than the center. Measures 4 1/2" tall.
 
This pattern is featured in Taylor and Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, on page 32. As you know, this is a tough piece to find! 
 
Excellent Condition.  A pinhead-size nibble below the rim (closeup).  That's it!  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
