Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Gorgeous Stoneware Pitcher made and stamped on the shoulder by the "Beaumont Pottery, York, Maine" and scratched on the bottom with a cross, the date 1987, and the initials JB

This is the work of Jerry Beaumont, a contemporary master potter.  In my experience, his work ranks supreme among the contemporary potters and is escalating in value.

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp on the Shoulder, Bird on a Branch on the Front, Cobalt Swags on the Sides, and a Tulip around the Base of the Handle.  The bird is executed with a slip cup in vivid cobalt and the rest of the decoration with a brush in equally nice cobalt.  Stands 7 1/8" tall.

Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
