Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Batter Pail whose distinctive decoration indicates that it was made by Enoch Burnett of Washington, D.C.
 
Burnett was the son-in-law of Henry Remmey Sr. of the Remmey Pottery Fame.  He potted in D.C. from c. 1846 to c. 1879.  (A. Brandt Zipp, "Washington, D. C. Stoneware." Antiques and Fine Art, Autumn 2010, pp. 202-203).
 
This beauty features a Tooled Rim, Pinched Spout, Slightly Canted Sides, Applied Handles, and Brushed Cobalt Comma Vining with a Dangling Tulip from the Rim on Each Side.  Measures only 5 3/4" tall and 7" wide across the top.  
 
Good Condition.  Chips around the rim, and a 1" chip on the underside at the edge.  No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
