Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Lidded Jar made and stamped by "Sipe, Nichols & Co., Williamsport, PA."
 
This is the stamp of William Sipe, Joe Nichols, and Abram Young who ran the pottery on Market Street from 1875-1879 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 62-63).
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Spectacular Brushed Cobalt Tobacco Leaf.  Comes with a lid.  Stands 9 1/4" Tall.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Some light staining.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Three stone pings in the making.  One is inside on the rim that made a 1 1/2" surface line on the inner ridge and a 1" line up the rim to its right late in the firing process (closeup).
