Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug made for "Vossler's Star Catsup, Prepared for The Jacob Vossler Co., Cincinnati, O." 
 
Circa 1900, this beauty features the Original Paper Label.  Stands 8 3/4" tall. 
 
Note that the label adds, "1/10 of 1% Benzoate Soda Added."  Food quality and truth in medicine was becoming a matter of public debate at this time and this additive was a preservative that worked well in acidic food like catsup. 
 
Excellent Condition.  A surface ping on the right side of the spout (closeup).  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Small loss to the paper label.
