Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Merchant Jug made for "Peter Welty & Co., Wholesale Liquors, 1118 Main & 1121 Market St., Wheeling, W. VA."
 
Welty had this jug made by the potteries in SW PA, probably Greensboro.
 
This beauty features Six Lines of Stenciled Advertising.  Stands 11 1/2" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  A 3/4" chip on the right side of the handle as shown, and some staining from use.  No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  A kiln touch on the front and a recess on the back to the left of the handle in the making.  
 
Ships double-boxed, insured, and FREE
