Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "John Burger, Rochester." 
 
This is the mark of John Burger who founded the family's pottery in Rochester, NY under this stamp and ran it from 1854-1867 (William Ketchum, American Stoneware, p. 74).
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and Freehand Capacity Number "3" Showcased by a Fancy Wreath with Bottom Bow in Bold Cobalt!  Stands 15 3/4" tall. 
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  A 1 3/4" stone ping on the back at the bottom in the making.
