Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug that reads, "The Banner Liquor Store, Jos. Hoffarth, Prop'r, Winona, Minn."
 
It was made by the Red Wing Stoneware Company of Red Wing, Minnesota (1906-1936). This piece is featured in Dan DePasquale and Larry Peterson, Red Wing Stoneware Encyclopedia, p. 187.
 
Made about 1920, this beauty features 4 Lines of Stenciled Advertising in an Oval Label. Measures 11" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Four small chips on the platform (1/4" to 3/8") and three at the base (1/4" to 3/4").  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
