Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA." 
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, PA from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Company Advertising Surrounding a Floral Garland.  Strong contrast between the pretty cobalt and the light gray background clay.  Stands 9 3/8" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition.  A couple small chips under the overhanging rim in the back (1/8", 3/8"), aa 2" y-shaped surface craze on the left side (closeup), and some very faint scattered staining.  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
