Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Ovoid Jug dated 1834.
Originating in the New England area, this beauty features an Early Ovoid Form, Tooled Shoulder, Light Gray Salt Glaze, and the Brushed Cobalt Date of 1834 with Underscore at the Shoulder. Stands 11 3/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. A minor 1" surface line at the base (closeup). Otherwise, as made. If I was born in 1834 I don't think I would look this good today!
