    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jar made in Baltimore, Maryland.  Possibly Peter Hermann.

     

    Dating around 1870, this beauty features a Carefully Tooled Rim to Allow a Cover to be Tied Over the Top, a Light Gray Clay, and two Brusshed Cobalt Florals Poised in Strong Contrast to that Gray.  Stands 9 1/2" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition. A 1/4" flake at the base.  That's it!  No rim chips hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A small chip inside the rim is in the making and glazed over.
