Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Jar from Baltimore, Maryland.
Dating around 1840, this beauty features a Finely Tooled Rim for Securing a Cloth or Wax Paper Cover Over the Top, and Elaborate Vining with Two Dangling Tulips Coming Down from the Rim. Nice light gray clay for a strong contrast with the cobalt decoration. Stands 11 3/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. Some water glass staining inside from use, a 3/8" chip and semi-circular ping on the outside of the rim, and a 1/4" chip at the base. No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, outer stains, or restoration.
