Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by the "Brown Brothers, Huntington, L.I."
This is the work of George, Stephen, and Thomas Brown who worked together in pottery in Long Island from 1863 to 1905 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 64).
This beauty features a Rounded Rim, Incribed Shoulder Band, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Stem of 5 Tulips. Measures 10" tall and 11" wide across the top. Stands 12 1/4"
Very Good Condition. Some water glass rings inside and some water glass runs outside, and some small flakes below the left handle. No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
