    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Pitcher whose decoration indicates that it was made by the Byrd Pottery of Tyler, Texas.  

     

    J. J. Byrd founded the Byrd Pottery in Tyler, Texas in 1932 and it continued until 1960.  In the 1930's pitchers like this one were made for tourists under the direction of Maude (Momma) Byrd.  

     

    Dating to the 1930's, this beauty is a Full Gallon Size with the Distinctive Byrd Pottery Shape and X Decoration.  Stands 8 3/8" tall.

     

    Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  

     

    Come from my private collection and was purchased at an auction in Maine a decade ago.
