Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Yellow Ware Butter Crock with Matching Lid.
 
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features Rust and White Slip Banding around the Base and Matching Lid. Measures 4 1/4" tall and 5 1/4" wide across the top.
 
This piece is pictured in Lisa McAllister and John Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book I  on p. 75.
 
Excellent Condition.  The base and lid have fine crazing of age.  The lid has a pinhead-size nibble on the underside.  Otherwise both pieces are as made.
