Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Spatterware Handleless Cup and Saucer in the Cluster of Buds Pattern. 
 
The saucer is stamped "Harvey." 
 
Dating to the first third of the 19th century, this beauty features the early form with the handleless cup and the more bowl-like saucer.  At that time people poured the tea from the cup into the saucer and drank from the saucer.  Later they added a handle to the cup and drank directly from the cup. 
 
The cup features Rich Blue Spatter on the Outside and a Cluster of Buds Inside.  The sauce has the same Rich Blue Spatter Border and Cluster of Buds in the Center.  The cup measures 2 5/8" tall and 4" wide across the top, and the saucer measures 1 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" wide. 
 
This pair matches perfectly and appears to have started out together nearly 200 years ago.
 
Excellent Condition.  The cup is as made, and the saucer has a small stain on the underside.  Otherwise as made.
