Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 9 1/4" Ironstone Rabbitware Plate.
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features Freehand Stick Spatter Decoration in the Virginia Rose Pattern in the Center. The floral is a vibrant combination of polychrome red, blue and green.  A Transfer Scene of Brown Rabbits and Green Frogs Frolicking in a Meadow of Ochre-colored Grass fills the edge.   Two red stripes border the scene.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Two adjacent nibbles at the edge not visible on the front (closeup) and some overall fine crazing of age.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A glaze skip on the edge between the nibbles in the making (closeup).
