Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this superb 2 Gallon Stoneware Merchant Script Jug made for "M. H. Haussling, N.J. R.R. Ave. & Elm St., Newark, N.J."
It was made by the Fulper Pottery of Flemington, New Jersey around 1900.
This beauty features a Larger Size and the Company Advertising in 4 Lines of Large, Fancy Cobalt Script. Besides the historical value, the script is extremely precise and very pleasing to the eye. Notice the reference to the New Jersey Railroad too! Stands 13 3/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. Two 1/4" flakes at the bottom edge. That's it! No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Five stone pings in the making, one in the "a" of the merchant name.
