Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jar made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."  
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features the Company Advertising in Four Lines of Block Letters.  Stands 10" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition.   A narrow 1/2" chip on the back of the bottom fold of the tooled rim and some moderate glaze wear.  That's it!  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
