Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon 1 Gallon Merchant Script Jar made for "J. Reitzel, Newark, N.J."
 
Reitzel had this jar made at the Fulper Pottery in Flemington, N.J.  
 
Circa 1900 to 1920, this beauty features the Uncommon Script Jar Form, Tooled Rim and Sloped Shoulder, and Three Lines of Cobalt Script Advertising.  Stands 9" tall.  
 
Good Condition.  Interior and some exterior water glass staining, a 3/4" chip on top of the rim, a 4" hairline from the rim (closeup), and three chips at the base (1/2" to 1").  No restoration.
