    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Jug made by "Hamilton and Jones, Manufacturers, Greensboro, PA ."


    This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 


    Circa 1880, this beauty is Fantastic with Top to Bottom Detailed Decoration!  From the top down are: a wavy stripe with three units of comma vining below at the shoulder, followed by the capacity number encased by a wavy stripe top and bottom and a column of dashes left and right, then the company advertising centered around a rose below an arch of diamonds and accented in the upper corners by tulips, and finished with a broad stripe at the bottom.  All the decoration is crisp and complete.  Stands 16 1/4" tall.  


    Excellent Condition.  A single 5/8" chip on the spout.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
