Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "T. F. Reppert, Greensboro, Pa."

Thomas Reppert made pottery solo in Greensboro from 1884-1890 and capitalized on the fame of his predecessor, James Hamilton (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 157-159).

This beauty features a Tooled Rim and Shoulder Accented with a Straight and Wavy Stripe, the Company Advertising Framing a Fancy Flower Framed by Tulips in the Top Corners and Leaves in the Bottom Corners, a Freehand Capacity Number Flanked by Leaves, and a Bottom Stripe.  The stencil is crisp and complete.  The darker cobalt of the decoration nicely complements the light gray glaze.  Stands 11 3/4" tall.

Excellent Condition.  Some wear on some of the letters.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A large stoneping to the left of the decoration in the making and glazed over.
