Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this super 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Merchant Script Jug made for "H. Munzer, Paterson, N.J." 
 
The jug was probably made by the Fulper Pottery of Flemington, New Jersey early on when they were still using salt glaze and not bristol glaze. 
 
Circa 1900, this beauty features the Desired 1/2 Gallon Size, Salt Glaze, and the Company Advertising in 3 Lines of Fancy Cobalt Script.  Stands 8 1/2" tall.
 
I cannot find another example online of this merchant's jugs in a 1/2 gallon or in salt glaze. 
 
Excellent Condition. Three adjacent small chips on the left side of the spout (1/8" to 1/4").  That's it! No base chips, hairlines , cracks, stains, or restoration.
