    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Merchant Script Jug made for the "Grand Union Hotel, Michele, Lubrano, Proprietor."  

     

    According to the 1913 Norwalk City Directory, Michele Lubrano was an Italian immigrant who managed this hotel in Norwalk, Connecticut. 

     

    The jug was made by the Fulper Pottery of Flemington, New Jersey around 1900-1920.  

     

    This beauty features the Platform Form and Three Lines of Gorgeous Cobalt Script Writing.  Stands 10 3/4" tall.

     

    Very Good Condition.  Three shallow chips on the spout (1/8" 3/16", 1/2") and two at the base (3/4", 1 1/2" (closeup).  No platform chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
