Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Frank B. Norton & Co., Worcester, Mass." 
 
This is the work of Frank Norton and  Frederick Hancock who made stoneware in Worcester from 1856-1877 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 52-53).  
 
This beauty features a Small 1 Gallon Size, the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Large Stylized Swirl Floral in Bright Cobalt Blue.  Stands 11 1/4" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" chip on the spout and a small 2" horizontal scratch below the decoration.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A drying/firing line on the back bottom in the making (closeup).
