    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Early Country 1 Gallon Spongeware Pitcher from NE Ohio.

     

    Dating around 1880, this beauty features a Tall Neck with Slightly Bulbous Body, Squared Rim, Graceful Handle, and Large Patterned Sponging.   Stands 11 1/4" tall.

     

    Very Good Condition.  An 1/8" nibble on the top of the spout, and a 3/8" chip with a 1 1/2" surface only craze line below it from the rim on the left side (closeup).  That's it!  No base chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
