Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "C. Hart & Son, Sherburne."
This is the stamp of Charles Hart and his son, Nahum, who potted in Sherburne, N.Y. with this stamp from 1866-1885 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 74-75).
This beauty features the Small Size and Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash. Measures 7 1/4" tall and 8" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. Four small, narrow chips inside the rim worn smooth (1/4" to 1/2"), three small chips outside the rim (1/4" to 1/2"), and scattered very small stains. No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
