Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous 2 Gallon Merchant Script Jug made for "B. Schwartz & Co., 74 N. Canal St., Newark." 
 
The jug was made and stamped by "John Osborn, Newark Pottery." 
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features Salt Glaze, the Pottery Stamp, and Three Lines of Cobalt Script Advertising Created with a Slip Cup.  The cobalt is dark and shiny like we like it.  Stands 13 1/2" tall.  
 
Very Good Condition.  A 1" chip on the left side of the spout.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
