Item 11775
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Larger 2 Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Floral.
The decoration on this pitcher makes it is easy to attribute to William and Charles Wingender of Haddonfield, N.J. They ran the pottery in Haddonfield from 1883 to 1923. This is an earlier work as its salt glaze and cobalt brushed decoration attest.
This beauty features a Larger Size, Rounded Rim, Tooled Neck and Shoulder, Handle with Cobalt Accents at the Terminals, Tapered Sides, Rounded Footer, Brushed Dotted Floral Dangling from a Branch Decoration. This was one of Wingender's signature decorations. I have always likened it to a strawberry. Stands 13 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. A single 1/4" flake on the footer. Otherwise, as made! Exceptionally clean.
