Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug with Bird on a Branch.
It was made by the Fulper Pottery of Flemington, New Jersey run by the Fulper family from 1860 to 1928 (M. Lelyn Branin, The Early Makers of Handcrafted Earthenware and Stoneware in Central and Southern New Jersey, pp. 132-137).
This beauty features a Folky Bird on a Branch Decoration. The light gray glaze and the bright cobalt bird provide a strong visual contrast. Stands 13 3/4" tall.
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kind. There is a manufacturing imperfection on the spout in the making.
