Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Pair of 1/2 Pint Canning Jars that reads, '"As You Like It' Horse-Radish."

 

They were made at the beginning of 20th century by the Weir Pottery of Monmouth, Illinois.  The lids are embossed "Weir, Patent '02".  These are shown in Jim Martin and Bette Cooper, Monmouth-Western Stoneware, p. 33. 

 

This pair features the Tiny 1/2" Pint Size, Weir Forms and Lids, and the Original Metal Closures.  Stand 4 3/4" to the top of the metal closure.

 

Good Condition. The one on the left has two nibbles on the top of the rim (pinhead, 1/8") and a 1/4" chip on the footer.  The lid has chips around the edge as shown.  The one on the right has two chips on the base (1/4", 1/2").  The lid has two chips on the edge (1/4", 3/8").  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration on either one.
