Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Gorgeous Yellow Ware Spongeware Meal Canister.

 

The glaze makes it easy to attribute to the pottery of William Crawford and Adam Morrison who founded the Rosslyn Pottery in Gallatown, Kirkcaldy, Scotland in 1879.

 

This beauty features a Barrel Form with Five Rounded Bands Top and Bottom, "Meal" Embossed on the Front in White, and a Rich Flowing Glaze of Black, Blue, Brown, Green, and Yellow.  Stands 8 1/2" tall

 

Good Condition.  The base has three 1/4" chips inside and a 3/16" chip outside the rim, a 1 3/4" hairline from the rim in the back, and some surface wear.  No base chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
