    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Little 3 Gallon Churn made and stamped by the "Ottman Bro's & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."

     

    This is the stamp of William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1872-1892 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 68).

     

    This beauty sports a Small Size, the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Large Bluebird on a Leaf Decoration.  The decoration is 9 1/2" tall.  Beautiful cobalt and artistry too!  Stands 15 1/2" tall. 

     

    Comes with the appropriate lid too! 

     

    Excellent Condition.  Wear and minor chipping around the inner seating ring where the lid sits.  That's it!  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  The lid has a single pinhead-size nibble on the top.
