    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug stamped "Lyons."  

     

    It is easily attributed to Jacob Fisher who made pottery in Lyons, New York from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74). 

     

    This beauty features the Town Name "Lyons" with Cobalt Wash, a Freehand Capacity Number 2, and a Brushed Cobalt Iris Blossom Decoration.   Stands 13 1/4" tall. 

     

    Excellent Condition.  A 1/2" chip on the back bottom.  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
