Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Lewis & Cady, Fairfax, VT."
 
This is the work of little known partnership that made pottery in Fairfax in the mid 19th century (William Ketchum, Jr. American Stoneware, p. 45). 
 
This beauty features a Tall and Narrow Form, Pottery Stamp, and a Double Brushed Cobalt Tulip.  Stands 14". 
 
Excellent Condition. A 1" semi-circular surface ping on the bottom in the back and some small scattered stains.  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
