Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made for "Jos. Bernard, Pure California Wines & Brandies, 662 Blue Island Ave., Chicago, ILL."  
 
It was made by the Red Wing Stoneware Company of Red Wing, Minnesota.  
 
Dating between 1900 and 1920, this beauty features a Platform Shape with a Very Graphic Label Featuring the Advertising on the End of a Cask on the Left, and Bacchus the god of Wine Seated on a Bunch of Grapes and Holding a Bottle of Bernard's Finest on the right!  Stands 11" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Three minor nibbles on the spout, three chips on the platform (3/8" to 7/8") and a narrow 1 1/2" chip on the front bottom edge.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
