    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Cream Pot made and stamped by "John Burger, Rochester."

     

    This is the mark of John Burger who founded the family's pottery under this stamp and ran it from 1854-1867 (William Ketchum, American Stoneware, p. 74).

     

    This beauty sports a Semi-Squared Rim, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, Freehand Capacity Number "2", and a Elaborate Triple Leaf Decoration.  The leaves are executed with a slip cup in bright cobalt and accented with fine lines.  Measures 11" tall and 9" wide across the top.

     

    Excellent Condition.  Some surface wear.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
